  I bought my ONDA V919 Air 3G (OI10 2, SN: V919DCFBV6A00972) through Gerabest.com in Dec 2015.
  
  No it WILL NOT TURN ON. Battery is fully charged. When connected to the charger, the display shows that battery is fully charged. When pushing the power button, it WILL NOT TURN ON. I tried pushing power+volume down, power+volume up, power button but it will just not turn on.
  I love my Onda tablet, I don't want to buy another one. I would like to have this one repaired. PLEASE ADVISE!

- no way to solve this issue. Onda made up a product with a serious issue and like Pilate they just wash their hands.
  
  throttling brightness due to thermal event : NO WAY TO ROOT and chenge settings - no files published to solve the problem - no assistance at all-
  they just say talk to the seller - the seller answer all onda have this issue :

- In Android Mode the Wifi-Connection is very bad. Youtube and vimeo are stuttering.
  When i switch into Windows 10 it is nearly perfect to watch HD in vimeo for instance.
  I have a 50k-Wifi, so this couldn´t be the problem.

  I received my tablet yesterday (Onda V919 Air CH dual os win10&android 5.)
  I powered on an booted into Android, after 5mins I received message 'Thermal Shutdown', after which the tablet did power off. I powered on again and the same thing happened after 3mins. I was not using any apps etc as the tablet was new out of the box. I then booted to Windows and the same issue occured after @ 5mins. The tablet is totally unusable.

- The 3G on my ONDA V919 is not working. The techs are reporting that glitch on all ONDA V919. I have evidence that the failed 3G on ONDA V919 is because of that whacko nutcase Irwin Johnson and some fat black guy from Chicago, IL calling himself "Elder Grace" causing it not to work with so insane excuse they said people can only have a Wi-Fi only tablet!! You Tube said there is a software patch and fix that corrects the failed 3G on ONDA V919 but, I cannot find the link anywhere!! If you can assist me in finding the software ONDA should have to fix that failed 3G on the V919 I need it immediately!! I can be contacted at 215-548-3489 and [email protected]

- I have v919 Air 3G Gold (few weeks old) with "throttling brightness due to thermal event" which looks like a known, common problem!
  This unit is unusable.
  Is anyone at Onda taking this seriously????
  Is a fix expected anytime soon?

- My ONDA v919 air Dual OS is now in android mode and I do know how to change it to Windows mode. Everything written in Chinese in android mode and I do not know which button will change it to windows; I saw windows in this tablet when it first arrived; I did the setting of Windows in English; used that for few days and then it was left idle for few days; when I tried to use the tablet again it was in android mode and now I do not know how to change it back to Windows. - Received in December 2015 - Onda V919, Xmas present, worked ~ 1 month.
  Stopped working in January. Helpdesk (Maggie) advised to do
  full factory reset, which was done several times.
  Now fully charged tablet shuts down after 1-3min of operation without warning.
  How can I return non-working product?

- My Onda v919 dual OS gold displays the message ""throttling brightness due to thermal event" from time to time, and the system occasionaly shuts down due to thermal problem! The funny thing is that I do not play games or anything, just browsing! It is unacceptable. I try for hours to find a solution without success. I am not a programmer, Please provide support for this. Perhaps a firmware update that fixes the problem.

A very good tablet, i'm very happy.

i have a ipad air too, but i'm hapy to can use some window's softwares even ios8 is better windows8 for tablet...

Finaly i don't use too much android.
the photo, video and sound are not very good compare to ipad, but the screen is very beautifull.

The only problem is autonomy, 10 hours for ipad and the half for v919 and when the tablet is turn on, it isn't possible to recharge battery at the same time...

I love the build quality and the fact that I have two tablets in one with the dual boot feature. The power and volume buttons should have been metal instead of plastic but that is minor. Both android and windows 8.1 systems run smooth and I have not encountered any lags. (Posted on 6/12/2015)

Got this tablet switched it to English except it did not switch it all some was still in Chinese. Appears to be a a faulty language pack .Tried to use the refresh that was on the windows system and it deleted the oper. system switch even though it stated it would not remove any files so now I can not access the android system. Tried customer service and they have not been any help. So now I have a tablet that can't access android and can't read half of the windows as it did not translate everything. ... but they deliver it with windows in CHINESE, and ist´s REALLY difficult to change it into any other language, if you can´t read chinese. In android, the launcher and the international keyboard layout are poor, but you can replace it with alternatives from the google play store, no problem. I've been really pleased with my v919 dual boot 64gb over the last week. After updating the language pack from microsoft via the laguage selector on task bar. I downloaded ClassicShell. This activates the taskbar when I hit the home button in windows instead of the metro screen now. overall great product! no complaints here if anything just takes a little getting used to due to using apple products so much. Overall, a good tablet, lovely screen & resolution. Like the OS switching capability, but some Android apps (Microsoft) don't work with Intel. Not this tablet fault.

Poor battery life is the main compliant. Onda should offer an optional longer life battery.

Funny problem with SD card support. SD disappears after switching OS and have to be re-inserted, re-boot before showing up again. Annoying.

This is a great device that has exceeded my expectations. There are those commenting of some drawbacks, but you just have to remember this costs 1/3 of a comparable Apple product. But despite this you have a zippy machine with a brilliant screen.

To get it into English, be mindful that you must be connected to your wi-fi so that you can download the language english pack. The download button will only appear if you have an internet connection.

Some have said that the sound via headphones appear to have an echo and sound tinny. I have discovered that the tablet does not appear to be compatible with your Apple headphones. Switch to another brand and you will find the echo goes away.

There was a delay in shipping but understandable considering the amount of orders they are taking.

All in all, a great product and definitely recommended.

Hi there,

After a few days with my hands on this tablet I just can say that it really worths every single penny and more, much more.
Really good build quality, no cracking materials, no weakness around the outside, on the inside, everything runs smooth and fast

Compared with my Ipad Air (I had to do it), there's no visual difference, apart of logos and the sd/sim door that, I have to say, it's a very good idea to put the radio antennas on it but I fear the moment it may broke or get lost ^^ the brushed aluminium on the back cover, the glass on the front, the bezels... Really nice!

The first moments:
Only the windows part came in Chinese but following their guide isn't a problem at all to set it up to another language, despite of this, it runs really well, I really enjoy that smoothness, no eternal waits at all, no lagging... What else? Windows 8.1 seems to be made for this tablet ) or vice-versa). The switch between OS is quite fast, more from windows to android that from android to windows, like restarting an android or windows tablet.

Nothing wrong in the android section, it runs really well and if you don't like the UI just drop in nova launcher and you will have pure android experience on an Ipad perfect shape...
Android runs really well, absolutely no issues at all. The factory launcher is a bit messy but just dropping in nova launcher everything looks more "official"

The screen... Having an Ipad, I just can say that looks gorgeous, even a bit better in contrast than the apple product. Really great colors, resolution and perfectly readable under the sun light.

I ordered also the case and have to say that fits perfect, the quality is very good and thinking of ordering another for its apple "twin", the bundled Bluetooth keyboard works perfect, easy to setup and carry on, USB Otg works fine but doesn't accept portable hd without external power (the usual), the sound is a bit weak and distorts a bit at the highest level when using earphones. Finally the camera... What can I say? Nothing that I didn't expect, typical tablet rear cam, not so useful and the picture quality below average but, as I said before, it was expected to be that way.

Only thing I could miss is a vibration mode but anyway, this is the perfect device. Also, I'm trying to use a three sim and it gets signal for calls and sms but not 3g connection, Another thing is the imei number, it doesn't have one, at least that's what android says in the reports... Can anyone confirm this? It's a bit weird. Also the usb cable is so short and a bit weak, the connector bends so easily but nothing that one can not fix buying or using another one. Oh, almost forgot, the home button as is a sensor one, is so sensible and every now and then you accidentally press it... Playing some games like simcity buildit is a bit annoying because the game has to restart...

The wait:
I placed my pre-order early January and since they send me the tracking number till I got it at home it was just a couple of days, really worth to pay the express service, I can guess now orders get shipped much more quick than ours.

It took almost a month from ordering to receive it but it was worth it. Screen is the best part.I must say I'm impressed with everything. If I can help someone with the left over Chinese "DO THIS" - go to 'Google Play' on an android phone and install "Google Translate" on your phone.( it just came out on Jan. 15th) Follow the directions for using the app to translate from Chinese to what ever language you need. Using this I was able to find my way around and make the changes necessary to switch to total English. You don't want to be deleting things you're not sure of. Amazing screen, more than amazing really, the best windows tablet I've had so far (previously surface rt, surface pro, dell venue and an Acer) the aspect ratio makes it, sound is so so, although the headphones for some reason are unusually echoy. Speed wise it's fast enough to run the windows app games and a few steam games. Had problems with the language, no matter if I install the us and uk language packs it still showed the Chinese, to get around this follow the guide on this website then go to the desktop control panel, switch to large icons and go into the language options. At the bottom of the page there is a restore defaults link, click that then log off and the uk/us language will appear. Again the screen on this device is awesome. (Posted on 2/7/2015)

I got my Tablet 3 weeks after ordering. The packaging was good. The setup of Android was done quickly, Windows took a little longer, overall but it went well with the instructions on the web page. Both systems have no the German language.
The Android battery life is a little disappointing, but good on Windows. The speed is sufficient for me for both systems. The display is excellent.
I noticed an error: when I switch from Windows to Android then I cannot build a cellular connection, I have to do a restart of Android, then I can enter the pin and make the connection.
Overall, I'm very satisfied.

There was a bit of a disconnect at first the tablet said it was in preorder but also said it would ship within a week. A week later the site had updated to ship 1-2 weeks. It was about three weeks in that the website posted messages about it started shipping v919. I received tracking information about a week after that and it actually shipped a week after that. Id did only take a week to get here so it took a little over a month to arrive.
When it arrived Windows was setup to be US English but it sure was not. I followed the directions on the website with no luck. I eventually followed the process but selected UK English and things displayed in English and then I was able to switch to US English.
The tablet itself is nice the screen got a little scraped up almost instantly by laying it down on some things. I am used to gorilla glass these days and that it is not. (hopefully someone can offer some suggestions on how to reduce the ability to see these minor scratches)
32 gig micro sd added and was not recognized put back in windows8 pc and data was viewable will have to look more tat that. I attempted to format on tablet and it kept having errors. I purchased a new sd card hopefully it works when it arrives. 4g Verizon SIM card was too large for slot. Had hoped it would run at 3g speeds but evidently there is a difference in sim card size.
Performance is good, under a minute to switch between OS. The battery has not been good so far at about 4 hours a charge. I am hoping this has something to do with the setup and download of various applications. If I notice a significant increase or decrease ill write another review on the battery.

The Tablet looks great, after turning on the screen is very sharp, colours real good, response time excellent, sound is good.
Fiddled with Android to get it working and added some apps.

I received my tablet this week. It works as advertised. Responsive good feel. Some asked about windows English just follow directions on your web cite except if WiFi is not real fast it will take 15 min to download English just be patient and watch for the little blue line showing download. Took me two or three tries to notice the download then almost everything is English except Chinese APS. Now to figure out that crazy Microsoft Windows 8.1 !! on android settings you can go to Home and choose Google launcher or keep the onda which is a lot like iOS
