You need to buy OTG host cable in order to connect it to tablet: http://www.onda-tablet.com/onda-vi10-vi20w-vi30-vi30w-vi40-vx580w-vx610w-usb-otg-host-cable.html

Onda-tablet.com didn't tell me I need that OTG cable, I was trying with same type (USB female to a mini USB male) standard adapter but it didn't work. Took sometime to find out! (Posted on 9/25/12)

It works on my VX580W 5" Android 4.0 tablet.
Purchase a USB female to a mini USB male.
Plug in the mini plug to the tablet and the ethernet cable to the adapter and turn on the ethernet setting.
Its faster than wifi. (Posted on 6/13/12)
